Founder story

I've lived in a 1970s unit block on Sydney's North Shore for over a decade. I've been the person who notices the leak getting worse, the garden getting overgrown, and the same issues being raised at every committee meeting without resolution.

That experience — as both a resident and a hands-on building care professional — is why I started Finer Property. Too many boutique buildings on the North Shore don't get the regular, practical attention they need. Strata managers handle the administration, but the physical building often falls between the cracks.

Finer Property fills that gap: regular on-site inspections, clear reporting, reliable trade coordination, and one consistent point of contact who knows your building.

What we believe

  • Proactive maintenance saves money. Catching a small leak early costs a fraction of fixing water damage months later.
  • Communication is care. A committee that's informed is a committee that can make good decisions. Every visit produces a clear, written summary.
  • Transparency builds trust. No commissions from trades, no hidden margins. Quotes and scope are always shared openly.
  • Volunteers deserve support. Committee members give their time for free. The least they deserve is reliable, professional follow-through on building issues.

How we work with trades

Finer Property is not a licensed trade business. We don't do plumbing, electrical, or fire safety work ourselves. Instead, we coordinate licensed, insured contractors — scoping the work clearly, obtaining fair quotes, supervising on-site, and following up on completion.

This independence means we recommend trades based on quality and fair pricing — not commissions or referral arrangements.
